Advertising On Google
How does Google Advertising work?
Google Advertising allows you to promote your business to Google’s search network, Google’s display network and Google’s TrueView network.
The Google Search Network
Google search network is present every time a user visits google.com and enters a search term in the query box. Google will then take the keyword entered and will present you with ads triggered by your search query. This is the reason why every time you search for “shoes” you are presented with ads for shoe stores. Alternatively, if you ever search for any type of local business such as a dentist, or plumber you will also notice ads for those types of businesses.
The Google Display Network
Google’s display network can be seen all throughout the web. Every time you visit a website and you notice a banner ad chances are that the ad is part of the Google display network. The Google display network allows business to display banner ads, video ads, and text ads on websites based on specific keywords. Specific sites and pages can also be selected.
Google TrueView Ads
Google TrueView Ads are part of Google’s display network and all of the display network rules apply. More commonly, TrueView Ads are used on Youtube.com as pre-roll and mid-roll ads. TrueView video ads can be thought of as online commercials for your local business, the only difference being that they are extremely targeted unlike ordinary television commercials.
